Mini Vinnies support the pyjama appeal for children at Leeds General Infirmary
Small gifts, meaningful comfort 💜💛
Our Mini Vinnies supported a thoughtful pyjama appeal for children staying at Leeds General Infirmary (LGI).
The appeal was started by a school parent whose family’s hospital experiences helped them recognise a need. When children arrive unexpectedly for emergency care, families may have little opportunity to pack essentials such as pyjamas.
Our school community was invited to donate new pyjamas for children aged 1–16, helping young patients feel more comfortable, cared for and dignified during their stay.
This practical act of kindness reflects Catholic Social Teaching: every person has dignity and deserves care. Jesus teaches that when we provide clothing and comfort for someone in need, we are serving him.
Thank you to the parent who inspired the appeal, our Mini Vinnies and everyone who supported it. 💜💛
