Reception Welcome Blessing with Year 6 Buddies

This week, we shared a gentle and joyful Celebration of the Word to welcome our Reception Class into the St Joseph’s school family.

For their very first time gathering in the hall, Reception joined Year 6, meeting their new buddies in a calm, prayerful space. Together, we reflected on what it means to belong, to be loved, and to be part of our school community.

Father Ben joined us and offered a special blessing for each child, while Year 6 sat beside their buddies with kindness and care - reassuring, guiding, and celebrating this important first step in school life.

It was a beautiful way to begin their journey, and we are so proud of how both Reception and Year 6 shared in this moment with such reverence, warmth, and joy.
