Returning to God During Lent

As part of our Lenten journey towards Easter, we prepared children in school for the Sacrament of Reconciliation and welcomed Fr Ben to celebrate it with those who were able to receive it.

Lent invites us to turn towards God through prayer, fasting and giving. Our preparation encouraged children to reflect on how they love God and others, acknowledge their sins and think about ways to put things right.

Receiving God’s forgiveness offers peace, a fresh beginning and strength to make loving choices. The sacrament reminds us that returning to God is a cause for hope and celebration.

Thank you to Fr Ben for supporting our children in this encounter with God’s mercy as they prepared for Easter. ✝️💜
